3 questions

 

 

There was a young man who went overseas to study for quite a long time. When he returned, he asked his parents to find him a religious scholar or any expert who could answer his 3 questions. Finally, his parents were able to find a Muslim scholar.

 

Young man: Who are you? Can you answer my questions?

 

Scholar: I am one of Allah (SubHana Wa Ta'ala )'s slaves and insha-Allah (God willing), I will be able to answer your questions.

 

Young man : Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were not able to answer my questions.

 

Scholar: I will try my best, with the help of Allah(SubHana Wa Ta'ala).

 

Young Man: I have 3 questions:

 

1. Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.

 

2. What is takdir (fate)?

 

3. If shaitan (Devil) was created from the fire, why at the end he will be thrown to hell that also created from fire. It certainly will not hurt him at all, since Shaitan (Devil) and the hell were created from fire. Did God not think of it this far?

 

 

Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man's face very hard.

 

Young Man (feeling pain): Why do you get angry with me?

 

Scholar: I am not angry. The slap is my answer to your three questions.

 

Young Man: I really don't understand.

 

Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?

 

Young Man: Of course, I felt the pain.

 

Scholar: So do you believe that pain exists?

 

Young Man: Yes.

 

Scholar: Show me the shape of the pain!

 

Young Man: I cannot.

 

Scholar: That is my first answer. All of us feel God's existence without being able to see His shape......... Last night, did you dream that you will be slapped by me?

 

Young Man: No.

 

Scholar: Did you ever think that you will get a slap from me, today?

 

Young Man: No.

 

Scholar: That is takdir (fate)........ My hand that I used to slap you, what is it created from?

 

Young Man: It is created from skin.

 

Scholar: How about your face, what is it created from?

 

Young Man: Skin.

 

Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?

 

Young Man: In pain.

 

Scholar: Even though Shaitan (Devil) and also the hell were created from the fire, if Allah wants, insha-Allah (God willing), the hell will become a very painful place for Shaitan (Devil).

hadith: mercy upon mankind

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayra ( radi Allahu anhu )

narrates that it was requested :

 

O Rasulallah ! (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) Curse the polytheists.

He (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: I have not been sent as one who curses; Indeed, I have been sent only as a mercy.

Some verses from Sura an-Nisa'(Quran:4)

 

 

1. O Mankind! Fear your Lord Who (initiated) your creation from a single soul, then from it created its mate, and from these two spread (the creation of) countless men and women. So, fear Allah for Whose sake you solicit needs from one another. And (become God-fearing) towards your own kith and kin (as well). Allah is indeed Ever-Watchful over you.

 

2. And deliver to the orphans their belongings; and do not exchange the bad for the good; nor consume their wealth by mixing it with your own. Indeed this is a great sin.

 

3. And if you have the apprehension that you will not be able to treat the orphan girls justly then marry the women you like and who are lawful for you, two or three or four (but this sanction is conditional on justice). Then if you fear that you will not be able to treat (more than one wife) justly then (marry) only one woman or the maids who have come under your possession (in accordance with the Islamic law). This makes it more likely that you restrain you from committing injustice.

 

4. And pay the women their dower with a pleased heart. Then if they forgo for you some (of the dower) out of their own pleasure, you may consume it as pleasant and favourable (for you).

 

5. And do not entrust to the mentally deficient your (or their) assets which Allah has made a means of stability for your economy. However, feed them out of it and clothe them, and say to them good and nice words.

 

6. And evaluate and test the orphans (for the sake of their training) till they attain to (the age of) marriage. Then if you discern in them ingenuity (and the knack of planning), hand over their assets to them. And devour not their wealth spending it wastefully and in haste (fearing that after) they grow mature (they will take it back). The one who is affluent must absolutely abstain (from the orphan’s property) but he who is indigent (himself) should consume but a fair portion of it (only). And when you return to them their assets, take witnesses over them. And Sufficient is Allah at reckoning.

Story of Great saint Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Gelani: By Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

I got this nice and famous story of truth, from one of the speech of Dr. Kalam

Now, I will narrate to you a story surrounding the life of a great saint Sheikh Abdul Qadir Al-Gelani which happened about one thousand years ago. One day child Abdul Qadir heard a cow saying, what are you doing here in the grazing fields, it is not for this you have been created. He ran back to his house feeling utterly terrified and climbed on to the roof of his house. From there he saw a large group of people returning from Arafat Mountain, thousands of miles away from his place in the neighbourhood of Mecca after performing Haj. Bewildered Abdul Qadir went to his mother and asked her permission to make a journey to Baghdad in order to pursue a career in knowledge. Mother understood the divine call and promptly gave the permission for him to go. She gave him 40 gold coins which was his share he inherited from his father. She stitched these 40 gold coins inside the lining of his coat and gave him permission to leave. When she stepped out of the door to bid him a farewell, she said, Oh, my son! You are going! I have detached myself from you for the sake of Allah knowing that I shall not see your face again until the day of last judgement. But take one advice from me. My son, you always feel the truth, speak the truth and propagate the truth even when your life is at stake.

Abdul Qadir travelled with a small caravan heading for Baghdad. During the journey, when the caravan was passing through the tough terrains, a group of robbers on horses suddenly attacked the caravan and started looting. None of them however took the slightest notice of Abdul Qadir, until one of the looters turned to him and said. You are here poor boy! Do you have anything with you? Abdul Qadir replied, I have got 40 gold coins which are stitched by my mother in the lining of my coat underneath my armpit.The looter smiled and thought that Abdul Qadir was just joking. He left him alone and moved elsewhere. When their leader came and the looters took this boy to their leader and said to him, A poor boy claims that he is in possession of 40 gold coins. We looted everybody but we have not touched him because we hardly believed that he has got gold coins with him. Then the leader put the same question but Abdul Qadir replied the same. Then the leader ripped through his coat and discovered that he indeed got 40 gold coins inside the lining of his coat.

The astonished leader asked Abdul Qadir, what prompted him to make this confession? Abdul Qadir replied. My mother made me promise to always be truthful even at the cost of my life. Here, it was a matter of only 40 Gold coins. I promised her and never betrayed her trust, so I told the truth. The looters started weeping and said, you have adhered to the advice of your great mother but we have been betraying the trust of our parents and the covenant of our Creator for many years. From now onwards, you would become our leader in our repentance and they all decided to give up robbery and from that day, became righteous persons. Here the world saw the birth of a great saint, Shiek Abdul Qadir Al-Gilani out of a message of truth a mother gave to her child.

Allah`s Messenger (saws) said, "Among the believers who show most perfect faith are those who have the best disposition, and are kindest to their families."

Allah`s Messenger (saws) said, "The best of you is he who is best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family. When one of you dies speak no ill of him."

Allah`s Messenger (saws) said: "a believing man should not hate a believing woman; if he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another."

Since it is first post of this blog, i thought of putting Sura al-Fātihah from Irfan-ul-Quran (By Dr. Tahir Ul Quadri).

Sura al-Fātihah

1. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَO

1. Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena

1. All praise be to Allah alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds,

2. الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِO

2. Alrrahmani alrraheemi

2. Most Compassionate, Ever-Merciful,

3. مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِO

3. Maliki yawmi alddeeni

3. Master of the Day of Judgment.

4. إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُO

4. Iyyaka naAAbudu waiyyaka nastaAAeenu

4. (O Allah!) You alone do we worship and to You alone we look for help.

5. اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَO

5. Ihdina alssirata almustaqeema

5. Show us the straight path,

6. صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْO

6. Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim

6. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your favours,

7. غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا الضَّالِّينَO

7. Ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala alddalleena

7. Not of those who have been afflicted with wrath and nor of those who have gone astray.
